I dont' know much about architecture. so bear with me people. But for the other lovers of architecture, like me who are cluless, or for the lover of architecture who actually knows a thing or three about it… I would like to share my new findings.
And.

I came accross a site, advertised on the Tyee some times ago.
I found it pretty interesting that prefab homes no longer equate trailer park in my mind. Michelle Kaufmann, the young architect who designed these concepts, carefully removed all 'white trash' aftertaste that could possibly remained associated with her blend of compact living, affordability* —faut le dire vite*— and chic.
In fact, the new "modular" houses have only the fact that the may be shipped by truck in common with 'trailers houses'.
-----
*It is said that a two bedroom glidehouse is approximately $160,000.00 USD + the cos of land and land prepapation. Not exactly cheap by my standards...Consider, just for fun that a real "trailer" house is $40,000.00 CDN But in San Fran, where the architecte lives, the average 'fixer upper' is $600,000.00 USD.
**Said fast enough, without thinking about it, it may sound thrue.
